BRACU Esports Club – HR Policies

To maintain a professional, inclusive, and respectful environment, all members of the BRAC Esports Club are expected to follow these Human Resource (HR) policies. These policies apply to all executives, general members, volunteers, and other members.

1. Zero Tolerance for Bullying Any form of bullying—be it verbal, psychological, or social—is strictly prohibited. This includes intimidation, exclusion, or behavior that undermines another member’s dignity or well-being.

2. No Use of Curse Words All communication within the club must be respectful and professional. The use of profanity or offensive language is not permitted under any circumstances.

3. Avoidance of Bias Fair treatment is expected at all times. Favoritism or discrimination based on gender, background, relationships, or performance level will not be tolerated.

4. No Harassment Harassment—whether physical, verbal, or digital—is strictly forbidden. This includes inappropriate jokes, unwanted messages, or any conduct that creates a hostile or uncomfortable environment.

5. No Insulting Behavior Insulting remarks, sarcasm intended to belittle, or personal attacks towards any member are unacceptable. Constructive criticism should be delivered respectfully.

6. No Unauthorized Promotion of Personal Brands Promoting personal businesses, brands, or third-party organizations using club platforms (e.g., Discord, social media) without prior approval is not allowed. For instance, using the ping/tag function for personal promotions without permission is prohibited.

7. Mutual Respect for Seniors and Juniors All members are expected to treat both seniors and juniors with respect and professionalism. Seniors should guide and support juniors, while juniors should show courtesy and willingness to learn. A culture of mentorship and mutual understanding is encouraged.

8. No chat policy during announcements When the President or any Vice President makes an official announcement in the Messenger group, a ten-minute no chat period must be observed.

9. No Emoji Spamming in Messenger Group Excessive or repeated use of emojis in the group chat that disrupts conversations or clutters important messages are strictly prohibited. Emojis should be used thoughtfully and in moderation.

10. Inactivity policies if a member remains inactive for two consecutive semesters, they will receive an official warning from the Senates. Continued inactivity may lead to further action, including removal from the club.

11. No Unsolicited Picture Sharing Sharing images in club platforms without prior consent—especially those that are personal, irrelevant, or potentially uncomfortable—is strictly prohibited.
